At Motech we can install an LS engine in almost any vehicle you can imagine. We are concentrating our efforts on the Jeep JK Wrangler since it is a perfect match for the LS engine.
The LS engine has proven light, reliable, powerful and economical, all the attributes the JK needs. The JK's 3.8 liter engine is marginal in a stock JK but add a lift, steel bumpers, larger tires, winch, etc and the 3.8 rapidly becomes inadequate. The LS engine performs as well as a daily driver as it does crawling rocks at Moab. The light weight of the LS engine allows the JK to remain nimble off road and deliver good gas mileage.
At Motech we have spent nearly three years developing the JK-LS swap. We have accrued over 30,000 miles of on road testing with the LS-JK. Integrating the LS into the Jeep drive train was challenging but we have achieved virtually full functionally of the JK systems.
From the instrument panel gauges to the HVAC system the LS-JK appears and functions like a stock JK. The power of the LS is apparent; however, you will appreciate the smoothness and refinement the LS engine brings the Jk.
There are many choices to improve the performance of your JK but we feel none match the overall results of the LS-JK. No one has achieved the level of integration MoTech has with the LS-JK. As Jeepers ourselves we wanted to install the engine we felt worked the best in the JK chassis; the engine we could count on in death valley when temps hit 120 degrees.
Every performance improvement has it's compromises, after driving a JK-LS we feel you will agree this combination of engine and chassis is hard to beat.
